Congratulations to the Owaneco Youth Lacrosse Senior Boys Team (7th & 8th graders) for winning the Paul Bowers Memorial Lacrosse Tournament on June 7th in Somers, CT. The team was coached by Jeff Hallowell, Bob Motley and Carl Abissi. The Owaneco youth lacrosse program is for boys and girls (separate teams) with over 100 members in 2009. The program is sponsored and administrated by the Pomfret Recreation Dept.

Scholarship::

The Recreation Department is now offering a $500.00 college scholarship based on community service to the town. The due date is May 7th, 2010.
