Mission Statement:
"The mission of the Pomfret Conservation Commission is
to inventory and conserve Pomfret’s natural resources and open spaces
and to serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Selectmen and other
municipal agencies."
The Pomfret Conservation Commission was formed in 1999 and continues to provide resources and guidance for scenic
road information, aquifer protection, recreation alternatives and
encourages conservation of land in the town.

The Pomfret Conservation Commission will be presenting its fifth annual Lois Orswell Award for Environmental Awareness. We will be honoring Mr. Ben Williams and Ms. Debbie Mansell.
The ceremony will be held at the Old Town House on Town House Road in Pomfret. The garden party will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2008. Rain or Shine. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited.
